Flowers Early Learning is a high-quality preschool located in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties and is currently looking for a Mental Health Consultant, serving both parents and staff for Cass and Van Buren county.

Position Summary: The Mental Health Consultant is responsible for the provision and coordination of mental health services for an assigned caseload. The consultant will work with both parents and staff to enhance their awareness and understanding of mental wellness and its impact on children and families. This position aims to improve the ability of staff, families, programs, and systems to prevent, identify, treat and reduce impact of mental health problems among children and their families.
Job Type: Full Time, Program Year, Non-Exempt
Expected Schedule: M-F, 8:00a – 4:30p
Rate of Pay: MA or higher $28.67 /hr
Education Requirement: Minimum- Master of Social Work, with current licensure in the State of Michigan and two years’ experience working with school-age population and families
Qualifications: Proficiency in a variety of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook). Strong organizational skills, problem solving and decision-making.
Other Selection Criteria: All candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and their own reliable transportation, complete a physical examination, comprehensive fingerprinted criminal background check, and pre-employment drug screen including a negative result for Amphetamines, Cannabinoids (including Marijuana/THC), Cocaine, Opiates, and Phencyclidine (PCP). Marijuana is not legal at the federal level and is prohibited in the workplace or in one's system, even if legally prescribed.
